30... was eagerly awaiting my arrival.

Exactly two weeks from my birthday, and I am blown away at the difference. It was like walking through a portal! Or getting the new prescription you didn't realize you needed, oh the clarity! This feels like a beginning and thank God. Thanks to the some of you the helped me celebrate in such a special way, especially my best friend Debbie. My sisters came down from CT only in time to hug kiss and go, but that meant the world to me. And of course thanks to the illuminata miss e.bell for strapping me into the sexiest gold shoes this side of vogue. Friends from all ends of the earth (the louderARTS peoples, Mona-Lisa from Paris, Maiyisha from it's been way too long since we hung out, the 5Cers: Robert & Rey, Mr. Chris Koch and Mr & Mrs. Kurt Koch...the list goes on) were in full effect and the incomparable Anthony Garcia graced the keys. I didn't sound so bad myself. Truly enjoyed the pleasure of singing my favorite songs to my favorite people. Special love for O.B. for holding down the door situation and of course Trudy & Bruce at the 5C Cultural Cafe. I was the luckiest girl in the world on September 3. Of course, there were folks who couldn't make it down, and I missed them, but it was such a fulfilling evening. Despues, we went to Grilled Cheese on Ludlow and then out to the Sullivan Room (thanks to Marty for keeping track of my gifts and bringing them along:) I've got to say, it's been years since I felt this good about the next chapter. and I DO feel good.
Additionally, I just joined the Union. I am now a member of Actors Equity Assocation. Now I've got to get a monologue. Hmmm.
